We were so pleased to be recently featured in an article in Cowgirl Magazine! Click on the cover to read the article.
The article, written by Michelle Moranha Winner celebrates Anna's horsemanship skills and features our saddlemaker Albert Moniz.
In the same issue is an article titled "Cowgirl in Paradise" where Michelle writes of her day spent with Deedee Keakealani Bertelmann and her Waimea ranching family. There are some wonderful photos and it's a great read too!

Visit Anna Ranch To Experience Hawaiian Ranching History
Against a backdrop of Waimea's lush green hills stands picturesque Anna Ranch, whose history began in 1848 with the purchase of the property by James Fay and his Hawaiian wife, Ka'ipukai. Their only child, Mary Ka'ala Fay, married into the Lindsey family and her descendants became premier contributors to the legacy of ranching in Hawaii.
About Anna
Anna Leialoha Lindsey Perry-Fiske was born in 1900, the great-great granddaughter of James and Ka'ipukai Fay. Anna was raised in the Island ranching lifestyle of the early 20th century, learning to ride, rope, mend fences and tend cattle at a young age while also mastering the decorum and etiquette necessary to young ladies of her day.
Upon the death of her father, William M.S. Lindsey, in 1939, Anna took over management of the family ranch, a bold move for that time. She oversaw its operation until her death in 1995.
